Immortals of Meluha by Amish Tripathi (Shiva Trilogy #1)

I know I’m a bit late in reading this book but as the saying goes, better late than never! Completed this in three days. What an amazing book. One of those which you can’t put down. I’ve read a lot of reviews about this book. The negative ones mainly talk about how this book is inaccurate. Of course! It’s fiction for God’s sake!

This is a lovely book and the simplicity of its writing makes it even more appealing. I also enjoyed the fact that all the famous characters from the Puranas come to live with a new storyline, combined with what seems very much like Bollywood masala! The Shiva and Sati love story one can already see Karan Johar directing a few songs based on that alone. (The movie rights for this book was obtained by Karan Johar who will begin filming soon.)

This series has definitely got me hooked! I’m currently reading the second book in the series, The Secret of the Nagas. You can watch the trailer for the first book below. Yes, you read that right, a trailer!
