Just completed the second book in the series. Amish Tripathi definitely managed to maintain the same quality and intensity with this second book. We see the introduction of new characters namely Kartik, Ganesh and Kali. The author has brilliantly brought the characters to life maintaining some aspects of the puranic story and introducing a whole new beautiful storyline.
There is also a lot of philosophical discussions surrounding “evil” and a little on karma in this second book.
Remember nobody is good or bad. They are either strong or weak. Strong people stick to their morals, no matter what the trials and tribulations. Weak people, many a times, do not even realise how low they have sunk.
There is no past life sins, Sati! There is only this life! That is the only reality. Everything else is theory. Believe the theory that gives you peace and reject the one that causes you pain. Why believe in theory if it causes you unhappiness?
I’ve just started the third book. Hoping it will be as intense as the first two though I’ve read many reviews about how disappointing the ending was. If you’ve not read my short review on the first book, click here.
