Good to see Google paying tribute to the late great Yasmin Ahmad. The doodle features a water-coloured picture of Yasmin, along with the Google logo stylised in the ‘Sepet’ movie poster typeface. Google Doodles are the fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.
I think it’s somewhat befitting that the Pope gets TIME’s honour for the Person of the year. I recently read Robert Moynihan’s “Pray for Me: The Life and Spiritual Vision of Pope Francis, First Pope from the Americas” which I thought served as a great introduction to Jorge Mario Bergoglio, now Pope Francis.
